Australia Storm Into Women's T20 World Cup Final with Comfortable Win Over West Indies

Australia Women booked their place in the final of the 2026 Women's T20 World Cup after an impressive eight-wicket victory over West Indies Women in the first semi-final at The Oval.

West Indies posted 125 for 7 from their 20 overs, giving themselves a chance, but Australia made the chase look remarkably straightforward. The target was reached in just 13 overs, with 42 balls remaining, as they finished on 127 for 2.

Australia's batters were calm, confident and in complete control from the start. The opening pair laid the perfect platform before the middle order wrapped up the chase with ease. West Indies were unable to build any pressure, and their bowlers struggled to slow Australia's attacking approach.

It was another polished all-round display from the Australians, who once again showed why they remain one of the strongest teams in world cricket. They now move into the final full of confidence and will be firm favourites to lift the Women's T20 World Cup trophy.
