Man United Player Ratings vs West Ham: Carrick's Winning Streak Comes to an End
Manchester United's run of victories under caretaker manager Michael Carrick came to a halt with a 1-1 draw against West Ham. Tomas Soucek took advantage of a Luke Shaw mistake to put the Hammers ahead, but Benjamin Šeško scored deep into added time to salvage a point and save United from defeat.
Senne Lammens put in a solid performance between the sticks, whilst Diogo Dalot had a difficult time at the back. Harry Maguire looked strong in the air before coming off, and Lisandro Martínez kept his cool but couldn't stop Soucek's goal. Shaw had a nightmare evening, caught out for the opener, though Šeško's late leveller took some of the heat off him. Casemiro put in a shift, Fernandes grafted throughout, and Rashford was largely anonymous.
Šeško's sharp finish was the standout moment, making sure Carrick's unbeaten run stayed intact, even though his perfect record took a hit.
